Camera access is off

Open Settings, choose Find in Camera, and enable Camera. Return to the app and point the rear camera at a printed page.

Text is not recognized

Move closer until the print is sharp.
Hold the device steady and keep the page flat.
Use the flashlight button in dim light.
Try high-contrast, printed text rather than handwriting or decorative lettering.
